A Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate order is carefully prepared for shipment, so it will arrive in perfect condition and to the delight of the recipient. Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate ensures that all merchandise is in good condition before shipping. No products passed the expiration date are sold and every effort is taken to ensure all items are packaged for safe delivery. If you receive an item damaged due to the actions of the shipping company, please contact the shipping company responsible for the delivery. Please let Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate know if you have any problems and we will do our best to resolve the situation with the shipping company.
Shipping In The Greater Toronto Area
Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate will do its best to deliver the ordered merchandise to the designated shipping address / recipient according to the sender’s instructions. In the event no one is available to accept delivery, the merchandise:
1.Will be left in a safe, protected area for the recipient (e.g. inside a storm door, with a concierge, on a porch, in a mail box, etc.); or
2.If there is no safe, protected area available, the merchandise will be held and the recipient will be contacted to arrange a convenient delivery time. The sender will also be contacted and an additional charge for a second delivery may result.
Please note: Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate will take no responsibility for packages left unattended. Chocolate left outside can become easily damaged by temperature changes due to extreme heat, cold and humidity.
Shipping Outside The Greater Toronto Area / Rest Of Canada / United States / International
Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate will do its best to deliver the ordered merchandise to the designated shipping address / recipient according to the sender’s instructions. In the event no one is available to accept delivery, the merchandise will be held by the courier and a delivery notice left at the location of the recipient. In this case, the recipient would have to claim their merchandise from the courier’s office, within two weeks of the notice.
Please note: Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate will take no responsibility for packages that may be held by the courier.
For international deliveries or deliveries in the United States, the recipient may be subject to import duties and taxes. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient. Unfortunately, Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

Scheduling Deliveries
For orders placed before 2 pm EST, delivery will usually take place the following business day defined as Tuesday to Friday, anytime between 9am and 5pm.

Refunds
If an item or order is returned due to errors made by Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate, a full refund will be given, including shipping costs.
As chocolate is a perishable food item and damaged chocolate cannot be resold, no refund will be given for items that are returned and damaged in any way.
If a package is returned due to an incorrect address on the part of
Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate, the reshipping costs will be absorbed by Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate. However, if Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate was not at fault and was given incorrect shipping information to begin with, any additional charges for reshipment will be charged to the sending client.
Payments
Accepted methods of payment are Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal Account. Payment must be processed and verified before delivery occurs.
Order Cancellation
Orders may be cancelled at no charge by email (simone@simonemarie.net) or telephone (416-968-777) ONLY if the order has not been shipped.
Shipping During June, July And August And / Or To Warm Weather Climates
Simone Marie Belgian Chocolate will make every effort to protect shipped orders from extreme weather conditions due to heat, cold and humidity but cannot be held responsible if the goods arrive damaged due to these conditions.
